1st and 2nd Grade
Students will master fundamental movement’s skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, running, skipping, hopping, jumping and use these skills in games designed for small groups.
3rd - 5th Grade
Students will master skills related to Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Floor Hockey, Tumbling, Flag Football, Softball, Lacrosse, and Track and Field to name a few.
All students will study the names of muscles, bones and how they assist us in our activities. All students will prepare for and take the Presidential Physical Fitness Challenge test, where they can earn a patch and certificate for their accomplishments.
We will be introducing certain muscles to the children when we are stretching and learning healthy habits for our bodies. Exercise and conditioning will be stressed to maintain a healthy body.
Demonstrating the Boys Town Social Skills will be a vital part of the PE program as well.
Our goal in physical education classes is to have students learn through participation while having fun!
