HOUSTON –St. John Paul II Catholic School (“StJPII”) is pleased to announce its hosting its first STREAM night in the Bramanti Athletic Center (BAC) on the StJPII campus. The event is free and is open to the public on April 29 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Full STREAM Ahead.”
“STREAM night is just the beginning for us to expand on developing the whole child through integration of the arts and sciences through collaboration, problem solving, and innovation. I am looking forward to seeing the joy of learning shared with others” said Rebecca Bogard, Principal of StJPII. Students and community members are encouraged to participate in a hands on night filled with active learning through the lens of a train station theme. Each of the stations (PK/K station, 1st/2nd station, 3rd-5th station, 6th-8th station, SOAR and Robotics stations) will be all titled after historic railroad terminals. Student presenters will showcase their learning through interactive, make-and-take, and display sessions. “We encourage our families to join us for a night of fun and hands-on learning for all ages at StJPII's first STREAM night. Let's explore together to make today's students, tomorrow's global leaders- Full STREAM Ahead!” said Dr. Michael Weinman, Middle School Assistant Principal.
For the first year, it is important that local community businesses support schools focusing on STREAM. For this reason, StJPII has partnered with IDEA Lab Kids in the Energy Corridor and PERC Engineering to bring this night to life. For more information on STREAM night visit

As a leader in Catholic education in the Greater Houston area, StJPII’s mission is to prepare all students spiritually and academically to succeed in life and to do God's will. StJPII is now accepting applications for the 2019-2020 school year. To learn more, tour the campus on Tour Tuesday, April 23, or visit www.jp2.org/admissions.
