In 1994, 23 young men and women became the first alumni of John Paul II Catholic School. Over the years, the number of graduates has swelled to over 700. These students have gone on to high schools such as Strake Jesuit, St. Agnes Academy, St. Thomas High School, Duchesne Academy, St. Pius X High School, Pope John XXIII High School, and Houston Christian Academy, just to name a few. Many of them were recipients of awards such as the Janet Erskine Stuart Scholarship from Duchesne Academy, the Strake Jesuit Directors’ Scholarship, the St. Thomas High School Scholarship, the St. Pius X Scholarship, the Pope John XXIII High School Scholarship, and the Daughters of the American Revolution History Award. John Paul II alumni have attended Notre Dame, Northwestern University, Texas A&M University, the University of Texas, St. Edward’s University, and many other fine institutions. They have gone on to become engineers, accountants, priests, med students, and teachers.
